Happy new year! We are excited to kick off our 2020 videos with a new look and feel! Check out our new set up and let us know what you think. In this first video of the new year, I am sharing with you three critical tips for success as you think about your 2020 social media plan!

Tip #1: Fail to plan, plan to fail

It’s just like anything else – if you wait to ‘see what happens’ when it comes to your social media strategy – you will not get the results you are looking for. I recommend working on time blocking daily, weekly and monthly when it comes to planning out the time you will spend on social media engaging with people, creating and scheduling content. Get a plan together – you won’t regret it!

Tip #2: Video, video, video

There is no better type of content right now than video content. You have to get on camera consistently in 2020 to really stand out from the competition. Whether it is Instagram Stories, Facebook Live or recorded video with your phone – getting on camera and creating video content is one of the best ways to build the ‘know, like and trust’ factor online. Nervous to start? Begin by creating one-to-one videos – videos you send to your clients, prospects or friends. You could start with sending people happy birthday videos – via text or Facebook Messenger. Start there and the more you create videos – the easier it will get – I promise! Tip #3: Show up every day and build relationships

If you want to achieve big success using social media in 2020 – you have to show up. You can’t outsource it – you can’t have someone else do it. Why? Because the first part of ‘social media’ is ‘SOCIAL!’ You have to spend a few minutes a day engaging with people and being there on a personal level – this is how we build relationships and that is what business is all about!
