How I reuse my LinkedIn content on other networks using Buffer, X and Make com
I mainly focus on sharing content on LinkedIn and don’t really have time for Insta, Pinterest and other networks as much.
But it seems a shame to not use the content I produce on other channels.
I’ve tried a range of solutions like Repurpose IO but its £25 a month for a service that effectively republishes content from one channel to others.
I can use that money elsewhere and re-create similar functionality with Make.
Steps I take to Automate the sharing to other networks:
1. Summarise my LinkedIn post on Buffer and publish to Linkedin and X at the same time.
2. Then my Make.com automation kicks in and grabs the media and the caption from X and reposts to Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.
Next I’m going to add a WordPress integration because I also don’t get time to publish to my website and I might as well, as the content there shows up in image searches on Google.
If you are wondering why I don’t go from LinkedIn to all the other networks its because it doesn’t work on Make! At least not for me. Plus I’m wary of the LinkedIn policy against 3rd party automation tools.
I did try it though and its probably a good thing it doesn’t work.
If you want a copy of the automation for you to play around with or modify I’m happy to share. It’s a fairly simple one and nothing complex. You just need to know how to get your Client ID and Client Secret from the various platforms.
